Taking Attendance

Mark students present, absent, or late. Bulk actions and review.

Taking Attendance

How to mark, save, export, and review attendance.

Taking Attendance

  1. Go to Attendance.
  2. Class Sidebar -- shows all class slots grouped by subject. Pick one.
  3. Date Picker -- change the date if needed.

Marking Attendance

For each student enrolled in the class, tap one of:

StatusColourMeaning
PresentGreenStudent attended
AbsentRedStudent was absent
LateAmberStudent arrived late

Bulk Actions

Use the buttons above the list to mark everyone at once:

  • All Present
  • All Absent
  • All Late

Saving

Click Save to record your changes.

  • If nothing changed since the last save, you'll be told (no unnecessary saves).
  • Each save records who made the change and what changed.
  • You can see the full change history below the attendance sheet.

Only Managers and Tutors can mark attendance. Clerks cannot access this page.

Change History

Below the attendance sheet you'll find a Change History panel. It shows every previous save for the selected class and date, with what changed each time. Click to expand or collapse.

Exporting Attendance

Click Export CSV (next to the date picker) to download attendance as a CSV file. The export includes student name, ID, class, subject, date, and status.

You can filter by class and date first if you only want a subset.

Reviewing Attendance

Each student's profile page shows their last 20 attendance records. For full history, use the Attendance page.
